Wow long time ...

So grad school has kept me busy and so I haven't gotten around to posting again until now. If anyone is reading this thank you and so sorry for the long wait. So here is what has been going on. I've got five classes and an observation assignment at a local community based organization (CBO). My favorite class is math currently. We have been having lots of fun creating lessons around games and activities designed to engage students in mathematical thinking. I have also been learning lots in my literacy methods class. Today we did a guided reading with some 2nd graders. Along with classes I'm on an intermural volley ball team with some of my cohorts and I've been getting out on the road to run again (man am I out of shape :() Well off to do some more homework.

First Day of School

Today Owen and I got started on figuring out what we'll be doing in the first few days of class with the students. I'm so excited to meet the 4th graders and get to know each one.
